Department of Civil Law is currently being held by Dr. Aulia Rifai, S.H., M.H., as the Head of Department, and Amaliyah, S.H., M.H., as the Secretary of the Department.

Department of civil law is one of the departments that pioneered the development of the Faculty of Law of Unhas together with the department of Constitutional Law, International Law, and Criminal Law. Department of civil law has 4 (four) scientific fields, namely Civil Law, Civil Islamic Law, Agrarian Law, and Customary Law.

Department of civil law maintains 24 subjects consisting of national mandatory courses, faculty compulsory courses, and elective courses, which are presented in the odd semester 13 subjects and even semester of 11 (eleven) courses.

The courses presented in the semester as follows: the Odd Semester is including agrarian law, customary law, islamic law, intellectual property rights, engagement law, advanced commercial law, warranty law, agrarian water law, land law and land administration, traditional law and inheritance, sharia economics, clinical law I (civil / court / agrarian), and clinic law I (consumer protection law). The Even Semester is including civil law, natural resource law, commercial law, housing law, settlements and apartments, kinship law and islamic inheritance, advanced islamic law, company law, private international law, consumer protection law, and business competition, banking law and financing institution, and politics of agrarian law.
